Orchard Garden and Cafe

The cafe provides contemporary casual cafe lunches and homemade deserts, cakes, and slices. Indulge in the seared lamb fillet with warm kumara and potato salad accompanied by a local pinot gris and then a slice of lemon meringue pie and great coffee.

The original mud brick walls of the old packing shed have been exposed inside the cafe to create a unique dining area which retains many features from the stone fruit grading and packing days. The old fruit grader serves as the front bar and chunky nailing up bench as a sideboard. A selection of wines from nearby local vineyards are available by the glass alongside beer and local juices.

The cafe opens to the garden where there are outdoor tables for dining in the courtyard and garden areas. Mature trees provide much needed shade in the hot Central Otago summers and a large open fire warms the area on colder days.

There is a separate dining area called “the old tractor shed” which opens through french doors to its own private garden courtyard, this is available for larger private groups by reservation.
